Recently, Gal spoke on The Ellen DeGeneres Show about her excitement upon learning that she had landed the role of the female superhero. In fact, her excitement was so great that she let out a scream, despite being on an airplane at the time. Gal further shared that she had waited for two weeks after auditioning for director Zack Snyder before hearing back from him. To add to the mystery, Snyder did not initially reveal what role she was even auditioning for, leaving Gal clueless and curious. She jokingly explained that it was so confidential that she had no idea what she was getting herself into.
The two Hollywood heartthrobs, Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, seemed to have coordinated their outfits for the evening, both donning beige suits and leather shoes. During an appearance on The Ellen Show, Gal Gadot revealed that when director Zack Snyder informed her about the role of Wonder Woman, she had to pretend to remain calm. Snyder asked her if she had ever heard of the iconic character, causing Gadot to go silent for a few seconds before responding confidently. The actress, who divides her time between Tel Aviv, Israel, and Los Angeles, admitted that she couldn’t contain her excitement when she eventually landed the highly-coveted role.

Upon landing, she discovered a whopping thirty missed calls from her agents. Excitedly calling them back while still seated, they informed her that she had secured the part. Overwhelmed with joy, she let out a loud “Arrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggh” which drew the attention of fellow passengers. Gal will not only star as Wonder Woman alongside Ben’s Batman and Henry’s Superman on March 25 but also in her own standalone Wonder Woman movie, set to release on June 23, 2017.
