Miley Cyrus’ latest hit, “Used to Be Young”, has taken the top spot in Billboard’s new music poll this week. The reflective single earned almost 42% of the vote, beating out other new releases by Selena Gomez, BLACKPINK, and Ariana Grande. In the ballad, Cyrus reflects on her headline-filled past while forgiving herself and moving on to the next chapter of her life. She shared some insight into the song’s creation in an Instagram post, stating that while the song is finished, it will continue to write itself every day. This marks Cyrus’ first piece of new music since the release of her eighth album, “Endless Summer Vacation”, in March. Gomez’s “Single Soon” came in second place with 33% of the vote.
