For her New Year’s Eve special comeback, Miley Cyrus selected a complete collection of vintage outfits.
Miley Cyrus celebrated the start of the new year by hosting her second annual NBC live special called Miley’s New Years Eve Party. The event included various performances and was co-hosted by Dolly Parton. For the night, Cyrus and her stylist Bradley Kenneth selected vintage outfits that showcased a glamorous side of her signature rock goddess style. One particular dress that stood out was a Versace creation from the spring/summer 2006 collection. The goddess-style dress featured dyed fabric wrapped around the torso, a thigh-high slit, and a subtle cape draped down the back. Cyrus completed the groovy look with gold stiletto sandals and wavy blonde hair.
Miley Cyrus graced the stage with FLETCHER for a duet performance of her hit song “Midnight Sky.” The pop icon rocked a stunning Bob Mackie minidress from his Fall 2002 collection, aptly named “To Broadway With Love.” This one-shouldered masterpiece paid homage to the beloved musical Sweet Charity and was crafted from hand-painted silk. The dress featured a mesmerizing gold, green, orange, and blue psychedelic pattern, accented by iridescent beaded fringe on the neckline and hemline. Miley looked absolutely radiant in this sparkling ensemble.
During a recent performance, the former Hannah Montana star donned a Versace dress from the luxury brand’s spring/summer 2005 collection. The stunning halter gown featured a plunging neckline and ruched detailing at the waist, and Miley also wore another Versace number to perform Paris Hilton’s hit song “Stars Are Blind” alongside the singer and Sia. In a 2021 interview, Miley spoke about her fashion sense, describing it as a way to express herself and be authentic. She likened her approach to dressing to that of a child’s fearlessness and lack of concern for judgment, aiming to channel her inner child and stay true to herself in her wardrobe choices.
