In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Billy Ray disclosed that he proposed to Firerose just four months after Tish’s divorce filing and a few weeks after his mother Ruth Ann Castro passed away.

In April, Tish filed for divorce from Billy Ray after 28 years of marriage and three children together.
